The House of Culture of Canaã dos Carajás was inaugurated in 2004, in the municipality that lends its name, in southeastern Pará.
It was thought of as a meeting place, a space for free thinking and creating. All of its spaces invite visitors to socialize, share and learn together.
The cultural space, created and maintained by Vale and which now integrates the Vale Cultural Institute, plays a role in guarding and registering the city's historical collection, and as a cultural diffuser in the region. In this sense, it promotes exhibitions, film screenings, reading clubs, storytelling, music, dance, circus and theater shows, in addition to maintaining a music and dance school, where children and young people have the opportunity to participate free, classical ballet classes, singing, guitar, recorder, children's music and traditional percussion of Pará.
